Service subs redux: am I one?

Not all D/s relationships are sexual, obviously. For many people it's a matter of emotional fulfillment that has little or nothing to do with sex.

So let's consider this example. I provide food, shelter, love, attention, open the door on command, allow the doms to hurt me and even serve as a bed for them. Does this make me a service sub to them?

While he and I switch in the bedroom, I am a service sub outside of it. I make his meals, I clean the house, I remember things when I know he'll forget them, I plan for us, things like that. I'm aware of his schedule, and do my best to schedule my own things around him.

I must mention, though, that this is while I am off work for my back. Once I get back to work, I will do my best to keep up this level of service, but I know that some of it will begin to fall.. like the meal-making. I won't be home to make his lunches anymore, and things like that.

But for now, it works pretty well this way... he's earning money, and I'm keeping house. *smile* It's quite a way to live.. one I never expected I'd actually experience, as my family's always driven me to be a working woman, and not a stay-at-home wife or mother.

We brought home a cat from our local shelter about a week ago and I agree with you.

Hey now. I've served as a bed for my Sir. Because he's 7 inches taller than me, not all of him FITS on me, but he's laid a good deal of his body on me, and I'm to just lay there and be comfortable for him.
