Server Speed Question

Well, it could be something on my end but I have DSL and the board is very slow. Maybe it's a West Coast thing.

Ditto on the unregistered asshole. If nobody posts to those threads, can you delete them? It's a shame that legit posts from 5 hours ago are 5 pages back.

I don't know what's going on, but Lit is very slow, I mean VERY. It toke me at least 5 mins to get to the 'Post Reply' page.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I've had it! Fucking had it!! My gawd! What ever is going on, stop it. Stop it, I say! I can barely get anything done, and I think I better leave now while my frustration level is still human. I'm sorry, but I'd rather it was down entirely than this. I've used up my entire nightly allotment on two pages.

Hi everyone!

I have a quick favor to ask of those of you with a spare second. I don't have access to my DSL right now, and we're trying to determine if the speed of the site has bounced back to normal yet. I know it was slow on part of Wednesday, but we've made some changes. If you could go to the front page of the site and click through some links to some category pages, stories, etc. and then let me know here how the speed seems to you, that would be amazing.

Well, it's Saturday morning. I don't have DSL yet but I'm working with a speedy cable modem.

The "REPLY" pages take several minutes to open and upon completion of the "REPLY" page, it takes approximately 3 minutes or more to return to the forum.

To be quite honest, the website has been moving very slow for the past few days to the point that I'll lose patience and delete the site until the following day.

It is nearly 8 am on Sat morning and it took over 2 minutes to load the page to the above point (at which my puter timed out). things were very fast last night. This morning, it is in sss-lll-ooo-www motion.

Saturday morning and the board is very slow here, too. Inconsistent- one page takes forever to load, and then the next one may go a little quicker. But all around description would be slow. I'm not on DSL or cable, yet.

Phew! ~brushing the dust off my shoulders, straightening my shirt, setting my specs back on my face~ I had to break the damn door down to get in here.

And I am noticing that I am not receiving av images. Also, last night, the e mail reminders rerivate messages weren't coming through regularly and I didn't recieve one when the in box was full. I am going to recheck my settings, but wondered if settings were affected by the new server.

Using just a dial out...

It took 5 minutes to get to Laurel's sticky..

3 minutes to actually scroll down the page(it does this "shutter" thing) to read the page of other posts..and then 2 minutes from 'post reply' to actually typing.


What's funky is how Lit makes my screen actually waver like I'm on Nyquil.

It has caused me to "blue screen," several times now.

I loose control of my mouse for seconds at a time...and then it moves by its self.
