Serious Weapon Issues

I never bothered to get into The Lord of the Rings. I'm certain it must be an amazing story. It's just not my cup of tea. How about . . . um . . . I don't know. Here's another hint about her character. She doesn't go to school like normal girls, but she adores their school girl uniforms, and she made a few outfits modeled after them (the idea of her knowing ho to sew doesn't faze me; it's a fantasy tale, after all). Maybe her faux school girl outfits have magic in them?
Heh. Wasn't thinking of that ring. Just thought of a handy little thing that a girl can carry around without it drawing too much attention. Ring, necklace, something like that. Some family heirloom packed with power, left behind by her grandmother, who everybody always said was a bit different.

Keep it simple and leave the complexity to the charachters, is what I say.

That was one of the things I loved in the Dresden Files TV series. His first magic wand was a drum stick. After it was destroyed he made another out of a hockey stick. Something very inconspicuous, but I don't know just what that should be for a little girl, Maybe a doll?
