Serious question, who is Jill Stein, why does she run for President, why would anyone waste a vote on her?

Or for that matter Gary Johnson. I can understand Kennedy, who has a name everyone recognizes, but who are Johnson and Stein? Why the wasted effort

She is a medical doctor with a record of talking about environmental health issues, which are suppressed in corporate media. She is unlikely to ever be elected. With RFK in the race the Green Party might endorse him instead of nominating their own candidate. But I could see RFK nominating her for some position like Surgeon General.

Johnson was two-term gov. of NM
I recognize that, and I was going to say so what? However, the same could have been said of Clinton and Carter. The real question is, why run a 3rd party, its a road to nowhere.

And why would anyone waste a vote? No, I dont think it sends a message. Yes, Ross Perot was an exception.

I think an opportunity exists for a third party, but it's not on the left.

Or in the middle, a space that is often abandoned by both parties but still occupied by most of the population.

It all depends on the power struggles. The far right has the power with 45....so the moderates would be the ones to create the new party.

I doubt they will....but there's more political pressure for splintering

Third party 'No Labels' could hand the election to Trump in 2024, ex-Obama official warns: 'Cut the crap'

Sen. Joe Manchin has said that he would not run third-party if he would throw the election to one side

Does Manchin really believe he can win? Is it all ego or what?
He says he hasn’t made that determination yet. He said he is going get out and talk to people around the country before making any decisions.

She is a Marxist.
I don't see that mattering anymore. The most fervent belief in capitalism or socialism won't delay their extinction. Meanwhile, there is work to do in restoring competence and ethics to medicine.

Yes, Ross Perot was an exception.
Was he really? All he stood for was cutting the deficit, which everyone always says they want - but voters tend to punish leaders who actually get it done, as Bill Clinton learned in 1994.
