Serious Lubricant Issues

Hello everybody. I was hoping that I could look to the robust Literotica community concerning some problems that my girlfriend and I are having.

For the last month or two, we've been having some serious problems with lubrication. Last year we decided to invest in some personal lubricant because she tends to be a bit dry at times. So one day she and I waltzed down to the local supermarket/drugstore and purchased KY liquid lubricant, and for a time it was good. Recently, though, things have gone awry. Now whenever we use the lubricant, it seems to irritate her. She described it to me as a burning sensation that grows more painful as physical contact continues. At first we thought it was the particular brand, so she went out and bought a bottle of Wet brand liquid lubricant. Well, we tried the new brand tonight, and we're still having the very same problems.

Have any of you experienced similar issues with lubricant? Would you have any suggestions?

Sounds like maybe an infection (yeast or otherwise...hopefully yeast if anything) I tend to be asymptomatic when it comes to those things and the only way I know something is wrong is a burning sensation during/after sex.

I think tealsphynx has the right answer, but it could be an allergic reaction to water soluble lubes.

Does the burning sensation start before physical contact? In other words, is it the lube that's causing the pain or the contact?

In either case, a visit to an OB/GYN sounds like the correct response -- sex should never be painful to a non-virgin.

YOu may not want to hear this but certain STDs and VDs can cause a burning sensation for women during and after sex.

You should go to a doctor ASAP and also request that he check for STDs.

Good Luck!
