So when setting up a series, there is an option for 'Series Introduction'. Now there's also a 'Short Description' which I assume is 60 characters to describe the series just like each story description. The text box for the Series Introduction is larger, so I assume that it allows some sort of paragraph blurb. I have many questions about this.

1 ~ Does the series actually get it;s own descriptor in addition to each chapter getting its own? I ask this because I can't seem to find a series that shows a description.
1a ~ If it does show, where?
1b ~ Additionally if so, is it 60 characters?
2 ~ Can you actually write a paragraph blurb about your series? I ask this because I can't seem to find a series with such a blurb.
2a ~ If so, where the hell does it show?
2b ~ Additionally if so, what is the character limit of this introduction blurb?
3 ~ Are these just a bunch of features that actually do fuck all?
3a ~ If so, why am I not surprised?

I read a series that had about three paragraphs as a blurb. But when I tried to give mine a one paragraph blurb it said it was too long. But also wouldn't' tell me how long it could be. I kinda gave up after that.

1. Yes, you have to have the site Beta features turned on in your account options to get to them, and then you have a variety of new control options for your series. Another thing you can do is mark a series as being completed, which will put a little aquamarine tag on the series in the author's works page.
1a. It shows up on the author's Works page, like I have for my first set of stories.
1b. The series "Short Description" seems to be the same character limit as story descriptions.

2. Yes, you can write a longer description in addition to the short description. Apparently you can also add an image to go with a series, though I haven't tried that function yet!
2a. I made a series description for my first set of stories, but it's strange and unintuitive to get to. You have to go to an author's Works page, and then you have to click on the series title rather than on any of the individual stories, which will take you to a dedicated series page.
2b. I was able to include several sentences, I'm not sure what the maximum length is. Definitely more than 60 characters!

3. Nope, it definitely works! Though I wonder if you have to have beta features turned on to VIEW them as well, and not simply to make them? 🤔
3a. Because you're prone to cynicism, perhaps for good reason, but occasionally optimism is warranted 🥰

I have one series with a introduction. It's not too long, but over 60 characters.

I don't know what the limit is, but it seems more than adequate for a decent blurb.

Being able to include a cover image is also a nice feature.

Thanks. I've been going to author's pages and clicking on series titles and your link is the first one that I've seen with a blurb.

There's another way to get the description (or rather, the dedicated "series details" page for a series).

At the end of every story, in the sidebar right below the tags, there is a navigation box that looks like this:

The second link there goes to the aforementioned page with description.

So yes, all in all it is pretty hidden. Ideally we'd probably want something like this, close to the story title:

but something tells me it wouldn't be wise to hold my breath...

Or, if you're reading one of the chapters, you can find the series widget at the bottom of the story (in the right sidebar) and click the link for the series.
