Serial Monogamy

The Scenario:

A Utopian near future in an unspecified country (or maybe a commune) where marriage has been reorganised.

At age 18 (to keep Laurel happy) one is assigned to someone aged 54 to learn about sex, home-making etc. but there is compulsory contraception. At 30 that pairing ends (also compulsorily) and one marries someone else (your choice) in the 30-54 age group and raises a family. At 54 one is again assigned, this time to teach an 18-y-o.

The possibilities here are interesting and a decent full-length novel plus a number of short vignettes could come from it.

Anybody fancy a bit of that idea?
