I've been doing some research looking for Sephardic names for a female, of either Portuguese or Spanish descent. I've found a few but would be interested to see if anyone has any different contributions. Nicknames, surnames, and proper first names are all fine, but preferably female or unisex.

My brain is storming...

Are you looking for names for Sephardic Jews who still live in Spain or Portugal, or for those who now live in the US, Israel, South America, etc? I don't know any Sephardic Jews in the U.S., but I do know some in Mexico and Israel, and can PM you with their first names, if you are interested.

You might also find the list of names coming through Ellis Island here interesting:

It doesn't matter, really. I'm going for more believability than accuracy (at this point). I'll tweak what needs to be tweaked when the time comes.

The background is that the character's mother was Chilean and of Israeli descent (Israeli on her mother's side and Chilean on her father's) and her father was a Sephardic Jew living in Israel of mixed Spanish and Portuguese descent.
