Dear Litfolk, I'm an experienced author, and most of what I have posted here has been scrupulously edited by my partner. There are several red Hs, especially in my chapter stories.
Currently however, I'm in the middle of a fertile writing period, and the demands of my editor's life mean that she doesn't have time to keep up with my editing requirements.
So, after discussion with her, I'm seeking another editor to assist me, at least for the time being.
Specifically, I have renewed writing 'Journey into Melanie's Reality' after a long hiatus. Tis a romance and is posted as such, in three chapters so far. An itensely sexual romance, sometimes kinkily so, because that is the nature of the love it seeks to explore and portray. So far the fourth and fifth chapters are complete and ready for editing, and the sixth, and probably final one, is in process. That's maybe twelve to fifteen thousand words needing careful and sensitive editing.
If you're up for a challenge, please read the posted chapters of 'Journey into Melanie's Reality', and see if you feel any affinity for what I'm trying to do. If you like it, and think you might want to assist me with its continuation, please get in touch and we can chat.
If you have problems with my style of writing, and especially the variant of reporting dialogue I have chosen, you are not the person I'm looking for. If embedded dialogue is good enough for internationally-reknowned contemporary authors like Cormac McCarthy, Tim Winton, and James Kelman, it's good enough for me.
And please remember I'm Scots, and write in Scots English. I don't use Webster's, and my spelling and grammar reflect this. Anyone who wants to Americanise my style is not the editor I seek.
