Generally speaking the idea is not to ask to receive a PM (there is a thread for that), but to send a PM randomly to someone you would ordinarily not send a PM to.
It might be sexual. It might be innocent.
My own random PMs tend to be to people I think contribute a lot on the boards, but that I do not interact with. Just a little something to say, "Hey. I noticed you. Thanks for adding to the community."
Sometimes it is just, "Hey. nice tits."
I'll let you guess which ones get returned

I always tell people I am sending it from the random thread, that way they don't find it as creepy. From a guy I would prob just want a "have a great afternoon, hope this bightened your day" something where I don't feel obligated to respond with anything than more than a ty. Also, hopefully your motives are to just send and not meet people, meeting is best done on the boards in my opinion.

Is agree with all of this. I've sent random pm before bit most of the time of was from their profile or a post made that got me to send it. Any in depth ongoing ones have come from getting to know them on the boards first
