Taking on the role of the Secretary of Defense will require Pete Hegseth to willingly take a multi-million dollar pay cut. This is the sort of patriot that Trump attracts and is recruiting. Not the grifters and scammers of the Biden Administration who are complicit, if not active participants, in looting taxpayers money. Hegseth earned a salary that is just shy of $5 million over two years, plus around $900k for speeches, and there's book earnings on top of that.

As Sec. of Defence, he will be paid around $250k.

Nope, people like Hegseth are giving up multi-million dollar paychecks to serve the United States voluntarily at a time when we need the best to help us recover from the self-inflicted disaster of the Biden Years.

Unlike Austin, who was grifting at Raytheon, and will probably go on to grift somewhere else.

Even if you ignore all the disturbing stories about the man (getting drunk on the job, assaulting women and paying one of them off to keep quiet) there remains the question of what qualifications he has for the job. He served briefly in the military at the rank of major, and was otherwise, what? A talking head on the TV? How many thousands of people does the incoming President of the USA know that would be more suitable for the post? The world may be in for a nasty surprise if the USA government make some very bad decisions over the next four years.

Yeah, that why I focused on Senator Duckworth’s takedown of Pete Hegseth over his lack of qualifications, preparedness, and competence.
