Anyone had any experience selling (or buying) BDSM tools / toys on-line? eBay? Other?

In my obsessive/compulsive way I purchased many many items I have yet to use, will not expect to use, or no longer favor. What the heck do I do with them, short of giving them away to kinky friends? (Settle down you perverts)

I expect there are “issues” with the sort of toys and their designed uses that might make them less-than-desirable in the market place. Please, what can you share with me?

:runs screaming through thread:

"sale" , "rent" ohhhh the horror !

Previously unconsidered idea lurks in my brain thanks to Shankara20

In my experience in the UK you can buy and sell tools on the net but you have to say that they are not to be used in the way they are intended...for example "novelty, fun gifts" or "historical artifacts" I would imagine it's not much different in the US.

i've ebayed some rope floggers. some what sucessfully even. just kinda look around a bit first to get a feel for where your toy will best fit and how to discribe it.

I take it here is no "adult toy" saction?

hmmm, wonder where my "ass eggs" will go best?

Okay I'll behave :sets egg timer:

BDSM Books and DVD's have been fine . Most of which I have sourced from Ebay. The red suede flogger I bought last year was from an 'Auction' site and it's tragic. List of issues as follows :

The falls are too short ( would make great dryer strips for a Barbie carwash )
The curing process for the suede has an intense chemical smell ( I left it outdoors to air for weeks and it still stinks )
The handle is too short and too light in weight ( cheap piece of dowel rod with suede glued over it )

I learned a good lesson . Don't buy 'generic tools' from online sources unless they are by referral of someone whose opinion you trust.

I also found that unless you live in Timbuktu there is such an inherent pleasure in shopping for BDSM tools in the flesh. Savor the entire day .

When I reopen my thread in a few weeks I will providing a link to a friend in San Fransisco whom is an amazing artist and lifestyle Dominant of several decades whom has recently made a limited amount of beautifully crafted , unique and very very ouchy 'tools' . On her name alone I know the product will be distinctive.

I need a pressie because , ummmmmn . Ohh because I have been a very ummmmn. Just because :winks:

oh no there is a mature audiences section

And just who are you supposed to be fooling?
The world in general is mad, but in some ways the UK and US seems to drive that to "perfection"

I'm wonder if Laurel & Manu could be persuaded to corner this niche market by launching Litbay?

hmmm? I know at IAM there is a forum for people to connect to trade and sell body jewelry. They connect in the forum and finish the deal and trade info in PM's. Wonder if we could just do that on our own here?

Morning Fu

They have a area of the Collarme Forum Boards called The Marketplace . Here are some examples of what they are selling there currently......

VIBRATOR & ANAL WAND FOR SALE
Crossdresser Clothing and Accessories
Unique Handpainted India Coffee Table-BEAUTIFUL
Handmade floggers
Whips,floggers,slappers, etc

Have a look. Perhaps something like that here.

Edit Just found the Guidelines. They may be of interest.

"This section is open for the advertising of items those of the Collarme.com community wish to offer for sale or request for purchase. The actual form of exchange is up to those involved, but the transaction must be discussed off-board. This includes the asking of any questions, as this section isn't intended to be a place for discussion. If you wish to speak with someone listed here, please contact them privately.

Advertisers are asked to provide adequate information regarding their offerings, including clear titles and descriptions. Links to websites presenting further details and images are welcome, but do not simply place a post title and URL.

If you have a website offering a wide variety of goods, as in the case of a craftsman or manufacturer, use the "Artisans" section instead of this one, unless you have a single offering you would like to highlight.

Do not spam the listing, or flood it with offerings. If you have a number of similar objects you wish to sell, place everything in a single post. If you have a couple of different objects you want to list separately, that is fine.

Do not offer/request illegal goods or any items/services prohibited in the - Collarme.com Forum Guidelines - and - Terms of Service - notice. In addition, ads for 'soiled' or 'used' undergarments are not acceptable here.

Do not list submissives/slaves that are "for sale" or "auction," regardless of the way meant.

It is also asked that if you sell the item you have listed, you post a notice in reply to it stating it is no longer available.

If you know of a location that might fulfill the request of a user seeking an item or service, feel free to post a reply with whatever direction or advice you can offer.

Collarme.com makes no guarantees regarding the validity, quality or safety of any items/services offered for sale, trade or otherwise on this board. Any agreements made between individuals are the sole concern and responsibility of those involved.

Glad to see you made it through one more night - good mornin' :rose:
Thank you I slept like the perfect angel that I in fact am :chuckles:

Guess you are not interested in my idea for kinky bomboniere. I am thinking the eggs you mentioned instead of sugared almonds for starters. No need to thank me .

PM Sweet Erika..she's big on buying off ebay and advising others to re sex toys...and can tell you where it's hidden.

I've bought new toys from ebay. The idea of buying used ones is kinda gross.

I've bought most of my toys off of Ebay. Vibrators, dildos, plugs, clamps, crops, etc. Some things I've liked better than others, but over all I've been happy with my purchases. If you go to Ebay home, Everything Else, Mature Audiences... oh heck how about I just link it, LOL. Here you go:

http://everythingelse.listings.ebay...ItemListQQssPageNameZdcpEverythingTextNonFeat

It should send you to the adult log in. Once you log in it'll ask you to verify your adult status, hit submit and you'll get a page saying your information is verified. Then if you hit the link again it'll drop you right into the adult section with all it's sub sections listed on the left. Including adult toys. You can do all kinds of exploring from there. ;)

Hope that helps.

There is also an auction site that is specifically geared toward selling kinky items it is Fetish Auctioneer. I've made many purchases from this site, and know of at least One poster from here that has sold items there (I bought from Her :D).

From what I've always seen on these auction sites however, insertable toys must be new not used but I could be wrong on that policy. Impact toys I don't think they have a specific policy on, nor things like restraints.

Hope that helps ya Shank. :)
