Self-confidence

Sorry I didn't mean to kill the thread. Go about your business, just pretend I didn't say anything.
Oh heck, usually two or three people would be flirting by now at this point in a thread  - you were hardly off topic at all. ;)

SJ, I've been pondering this since you started the thread. Here's my best attempt at an answer:

Confidence is a learned behavior. You see it in others, admire it, and imitate it. It may take some time for you to become good at being confident, but with practice, you will.

I still have moments of horrible insecurity, and I know that there are people out there who'd be surprised to know that some days, every step for me is like walking on eggshells. I'm still taking those steps, though, every day.

Bookmark this thread, and read it when you need reminding that you are a bright, beautiful woman who has friends who care about her. :rose:
Wow, Jammies, that's pretty brilliant.

I wasn't sure how to respond to this thread, because I go through life with great confidence, and didn't want to say things that are not relevant to one who does not. Your post reminds me of the fact that I made a conscious decision to adopt this learned behavior a long time ago, and have become so accomplished at "faking it" that it's not really faking it anymore.
