Seeking writers for "La Brea" inspired, small group roleplay

NOTE: You do not have to know (let alone like) the show to participate. The roleplay is only 'inspired' by the series and not connected to the happenings of the weekly episodes. In fact, it might be better if you do not know the series.

While I don't believe "La Brea" will make it to a second season, I still like the premise.

The premise:

And unexplainable event has caused almost 2 million square feet of Los Angeles surrounding the La Brea Tar Pits to fall away in an immeasurably deep sink hole. (Map -- affected area is inside the red circle. Google Maps link -- if you want, go to "Layers" and select "Labels off". This only works in the "Satellite" view.)

Hundreds of people, possibly even a thousand or more, fell into the sink hole. Not all lived, and there are many injured to one degree or another. But many of the survivors are healthy and fit, again for unexplainable reasons seeing how the fall was so significant. (Most of these survivors will be namely, expendable Non Player Characters, NPCs.)

What will soon be discovered is that the survivors are still in Los Angeles, but they are in the Los Angeles of thousands of years ago. (I haven't decided on a specific time span, but it could be as recent as 10,000 years ago or as far back as 50,000 years ago.)

The quest now is to survive. Thriving should be a goal, too, but just staying alive might be enough for now.

I will introduce dangers (new and repeating) on almost a daily basis. (Daily as in a roleplay day, not a real day). These dangers could be saber tooth tigers, packs of canines (dire wolves, grey wolves, or coyotes), American Cave Lions, and more.

But big carnivores aren't the only dangers. There could be deadly viruses or bacteria or insects or even fungi that could sicken or even kill Humans.

Oh, and speaking of Humans, the 'ancient ones' might be making an appearance as well. (I haven't decided on the specific time frame yet.)

I will add more to this idea later, but right now, it's 1am and I need my beauty sleep.
