Hey,
I realize this ain't the personal forum, but this request isn't exactly suited for the personals. I'm just looking for a room for the summer - mid-June to mid-Aug - in Los Angeles. I've been posting notes and contacting people all over the internet, so figured I may as well do so here. Can't hurt. Perhaps someone knows someone, or something, something.

I'm going to be doing an internship out there (I'm a grad student). I guess if anyone has any leads (other than websites for sublets, which I am familiar with already), contact me by pm.

(added later) Figured I'd include some personal info. about me: I'm quiet, easy-going (when not arguing about politics :)), clean, and full of interesting conversation (i.e. if interesting conversation is desired). And, I've got the loot, for rent, that is.

Thanks! Sorry to have lured any unsuspecting Litsters into reading this post who have no interest in this subject. Although, is that really my problem?
:)

Well I popped in out of curiosity, Olivianna, so see what an expert on early renaissance culture in Venice was up to.

Good luck.

Thanks, free. The Italian Renaissance humanists are still trotting back between Padua, Florence, and Venice, as far as I'm concerned. The paper went well; I'm happy with it. Thanks for asking. I hope you're well. Like your av.

LA's a big place, where are you going to need to be?

Preferably west LA. Near Wiltshire? I don't know the area very well. I'll be working at the LACMA. I will have a car, though, so a commute is tolerable.

No commute is tolerable in LA unless it's under 10 miles or at odd hours of the day/night!

Aarghh. I know. What have I gotten myself into?

I lived there for 14 years and am so glad I'm not there anymore. It's not all that bad, but there are areas you will probably want to stay away from.

bratcat is right, if you can find someone who is there right now it would be best, even if it's just to ask questions (not necessarily to "shack up" with).
