I'm going to be very up-front here. None of my friends (even the one who put me up to this, thecyberpoet) understands why I've only dated a couple women in my life. I'm not a loser or a nerd (far from it), but somehow I lack the veracity to walk up to a woman and ask her out, and so I tend to spend the time with my daughters & being solitary instead. I'm not woman-shy, I just don't know how to go about starting it -- imagine a 12 year old boy with a crush being tongue tied (that's me in this aspect of my life). I'm not inexperienced in other ways, and I really enjoy the company of women when it is available to me. Once I get past that initial hurdle, everythings fine & I can be assertive, self-assured. What I am seeking is female friendship and companionship, more of a mixed social life and perhaps some wild thrills along the way. I'm well heeled, well educated, widely traveled and well read. I've been told I am quite handsome often enough to believe it, but am not conceited that way. I'm not sure I'm ready to jump feet first into a marriage (probably unhealthy for me), but I do want a solid relationship with the right person and a circle of female friends who understand where I'm at. It's that simple. I have a very kinky background with some experience in the swinger realms, having engaged in that lifestyle when I was married, but she was always the initiator, and, well... you see my quandry.
As for hobbies, I tinker with European sports cars (mechanically), read voraciously, spend time & attention on my two daughters (ages 8 & 11) -- yes, I'm a single dad, but I'm not looking for a mom for them. I love to travel, but don't get to do much of it. Mostly, I'm just laid back and what I really appreciate is intimate, intelligent conversation and the company of good friends while sipping a glass of wine.
