Hi there,
I'm hoping to find an experienced editor who'd take a look at the first chapter of a lengthy story I've been writing and posting here for the last year or so. I think I've improved as a writer in the course of creating this little (cough!) novel of mine, and the first chapter is weak in comparison with the rest of the work, and although it went through a number of revisions prior to being posted, I'd like to revisit it and give it a vigorous overhaul.
The chapter is just over 11k words, and has a strong non-consent theme.
I don't know if anyone's interested in doing this sort of editing task, but I'd be eager for guidance that goes beyond orthography and grammar--particularly suggestions on how to improve the pace and also narrative voice. And if unorthodox grammar irritates you, you'll probably hate my prose.
