I couldn't be a nurse. Not because I faint at the sight of blood, because I don't, but just because the emotional drain would be too much. My sister is a nurse, and I see how it affects her sometimes. I'll stick with my current job, that I adore. Doing voiceovers!

Thanks, Mr. H. I've had it all my life. Used to be worse, but it's gotten better as I've gotten older. Don't have attacks much anymore. Just got to stay away from a lot of dust. Guess I didn't do that. LOL.

Don't get me wrong...the emotonal aspect is required to a certain extent, but I wouldn't be able to turn it off when needed to.
I don't envy a nurse's job. It's more complicated than most realize.

I come home crying lots of days. I get calls at home because a certain patient isnt doing good and is asking for me its never easy,but I deal with it. working in a nursing home is differnt than a hospittal in that some of these people i care for for years,so they are your family.
I still say I get more from them than I could ever give.

Well, from the sounds of it, you're a very caring person that treats it more than "just a job" and put your full self into it.
If I ever end up in any type of long term care facility as a patient, I wish that I'll be lucky enough to have a nurse that good and caring!

Nawww...old enough to know better, and young enough to do it again...and again...and again,lol.
33 isn't exactly old...but then...neither is 40.....it's how you feel and percieve yourself.....
