Hello there, i am posting here in hopes that someone will be kind enough to help me with a story i have written. i have posted several stories here over several years and this one is actually a continuation of the last story i posted. It was rejected for punctuation. *blushing* When i write, i write very quickly - concentrating on feelings both physical and emotional - not punctuation. Usually i have no trouble going back afterward and fixing it. That apparently is not the case this time. i have reworked it enough that it would probably be accepted were i to resubmit it, but i would like it to be better than just acceptable. i am not totally illiterate, although i don't have a lot of formal education. i have looked at all my writing since the rejection and can see there is much need for improvement. Because i am a submissive, my stories tend to have a decidedly Sadomasochistic theme. i would prefer to work with someone who enjoys and/or understands the attraction. If this could be you, please let me know. Thanks very much, dawn

I is always a capital letter. I is first person singular.

editing help

:) Hi Dawn, feel free to send me your story. I would enjoy taking a look at it and helping you to edit the punctuation etc. It is, after all, the emotion in a story that makes it great..... let's work together to create a format worthy of framing it.

i thank You Sir for Your observation. i have taken on this way of expressing my submissiveness in writing - using lower case for myself and upper case for Dominants and both when referring to both at the same time i.e. W/we. i can imagine that it could be like nails on a chalkboard for some people, like Yourself. It is a habit that is seriously ingrained for me though and a rule in some places i frequent and with some P/people whose friendship i treasure. i am truly grateful that You bothered to respond at all to my query. i am certain You are a very thorough editor. :) d

I thought you were pleasing or teasing. I have met one, who may produce seven
thousand words misspelled. I thought I would inquire at the expense of being
donkey. Then I decided to get the knowledge out. It occurred to me later; however, everybody here is rather prolific. Warmly, marvelous4all

The use of capitals to indicate a dom and lower case for a sub is generally considered by publishers as an affectation which is for those who are only playing at BDSM. Serious readers of BDSM are widely thought to dislike it. Also, printers never get it right.

Snooper's right, you'll never get anywhere with a legitimate publisher if you try submitting that I/i H/he Y/you crap. And that second-person perspective that's entirely too prevalent in attempts at BDSM stories? Forget it.
