You just might want to give a tad more info than that. I had a hard time getting someone to edit my 96 page (Word doc) wonder. You might want to just farm out one chapter and see how it goes, then move on from there. If you get lucky and happen to get more than one editor offering, you might want to take them all and see what pans out.
Good luck.
My first time back here in ages. Was that 96 pages? You SO OWE me!
I don't suppose you are still actively editing, are you?
I do so much more than edit. I have an instinct. I correct "flows". I suggest words/phrases to accentuate the rhythms of storytelling.
So does that mean you would want to use some of your instinct on what I have written?

I do! Oh, I do!!
And I'm so glad you're back! The waters here in the EF are not just calm anymore, they're down right stagnant and stale.
Could it be those of us that edit are busy already, and not replying to any requests right now?
Or could it be those looking for an editor are contacting one without using the EF?
Could be some people have a life outside of Lit too.

ok, so I have a stupid question for the gurus:
In the story lists, when Lit E puts the N, H, and W in the yellow, red, and blue boxes......what does that mean???
Sorry, I truly did not mean that the way it came off. In hopes I don't dig myself in deeper, I meant that for whatever reason, there just hasn't been the occasional light chatter around here recently. I see lots of asking for help and replies, and editors jumping to offer their voluntary services.
Please accept my apology.![]()
Not a problem.
Not sure what has just transpired in the few previous posts, but here I am.
I do hope all is good here.
I'm a little nervous, my work is laying off on Friday, made the first cut, this is the second, hopefully the last. Have made myself indispensable, hoping this will be good.
There's much to be said about showing up, doing your job without being told to, and smiling.
Sorry to hear that, AS. Job security seems to be a thing of the past.
All is good here.
Make room, ML. We'll maybe splitting rent soon.. who knows what elso we'll be splitting soon...
