I had planned to retire from RPing, but decided to see if this idea gets any attention first. Please only agree to play if you actually will be able to write along somewhat regularly.

Basically, the idea is that it is the not-to-distant future. We have domed cities on Mars with special platforms in the foundation to create artificial gravity, thus it feels like Earth inside the domes. In one of the domed cities, Pandora, there are a lot of miners who work in the nearby Vryatil Mines. Vryatil is an expensive material that is used in advanced engines and motors and is vital to modern technology. But a few days ago, they found a large blue crystal the size of a house buried deep in the mines. This is NOT Vryatil.

After running a few experiments on the big blue crystal, it suddenly glows brightly and sends a huge wave of blue energy out in every direction. This energy acts like radiation and penetrates walls. Basically, everyone in Pandora is bathed in this radiation and some of them, our characters, develop super powers.

Ultimately, the Mars government seals off Pandora and tries to kill of everyone in fear of the "Mutant Syndrome" from spreading. Our characters have to escape Pandora, then escape Mars and try to get back to Earth and keep their abilities hidden. But once they get back to Earth, they realize they are not the only mutants who escaped. Not by a long shot. And some of them are not very nice, either.

Oh, I LOVE this idea. Science fiction, super powers, unlimited creativity…
As long as it’s controlled so no one has “God powers” then I think that this is a BRILLIANT idea, and I’d LOVE to be a part of it.
If this gets moving, I’ll be happy to post a character bio. I’d LOVE to be a part of this story.

Sweet. Yeah, basically, no Superman-level strength, Flash-level speed, or reality altering powers, but most everything else is fine. Like, for my character, he will have powers along the same lines as Jonn Jonzz.

Can my character be a person who's body was mutated, so he became like part animal, like beast in x men? And who's John jozz?

I’m thinking something along the lines of a company scientist, that develops telekinesis. She can’t read or control minds or anything, but she can move objects with her mind.
I reserve the right to change my mind before I publish my final character bio, but that’s where I’m leaning ATM.

John Jonzz, Martian Manhunter. As for your guy, it would make it very hard to hide his powers and blend in. Maybe he can transform between human and animal form?

Sure, hats actually a good idea. Can the animal form be like. A half dragon? Yu know, with wings, claws, scales, and fire breath? Like, the ,as and scales are stronger that average materials and such.

Ah, well MM is a TK, isn’t he? Not a problem, I’ll come up with something else. I wasn’t fully sold on the idea anyway.

She’s a systems engineer, that keeps that machines running before the incident. Afterwards, she can communicate with computers and machinery, and control them with her mind. She can open locks, access databanks, change files, that kinda thing. She can operate machinery and hack computers with her mind.
Think that’s too over-powered?

I personally think it is a pretty cool power. So, unless there are any objections, my guy is human, but can turn into a half dragon person, who has dragon wings, so he can fly, dragonscales covering his body, which are harder than steel, dragon laws, which is as hard as steel and as sharp as obsidian. What do you think?

If everything on him is hard as steel, that makes him a little over-powered, unless being that way wears him out rapidly. Plus where does the DNA source for a dragon come from? Maybe on the other side of Pandora, away from the mines, there are digsites where they uncovered fossils of ancient dragon-like creatures from a time when Mars had an Earthlike atmosphere. Your guy could work closely with these fossils, and he is assembling a dragon skeleton when the wave hits, bestowing some of its properties on him.

And Mags, you can make her tk if you want it go with your machinery idea. She could probably also construct a suit of power armor and include energy blasters .

Good point. How about this. Since everything on him is hard as steel, he can't fly very far or long since he is so heavy. That even out the odds. So he basically is a ground fighter since he can't fly too well

Really, he wouldn't be able to fly at all unless his wings were like giant. You could say he uses his immense strength to jump high into the air and then uses his wings to glide.

That's the basic idea of it. So, my guy would kinda be an archaeologist who found the dragon like fossils, and. Then the wave kinda 'fused' me with the fossils. Nice idea.

For working with fossils, it'd be a paleontologist.

No need for power suits or anything. I'll just have her be a TK, and control computers with her mind. I usually like playing my characters at a disadvantage.

I meant if she controls computers with her mind, then she should be able to assemble a power suit for protection and sync with it mentally. Or she could take control of computerized vehicles and whatnot. Just and idea.
