What scene in the movies made you go weak in the knees and breathless? I'm not necessarily talking about the sex itself, although that might follow, but the romance, the set-up, the seduction... the look in the man's eyes, the touch of a hand, etc. My favorite seduction is from "The English Patient." The Sikh medic-soldier invites the French nurse back to his tent. It's dark and along the path he has set shells with tiny candles (or flames of some sort) leading to the tent and more candles. It was completely still in the theatre (except for the sighs from the ladies). My husband turned to me and said, "Damn,[/I]I'd fuck him!"

Every single scene in the original 'Dangerous Liasons'...

Most of the scenes in Cruel Intentions. I love the way Cecile is so beautifully corrupted by Valmonte and Katherine. Very little in the way of actual sex scenes are seen (and the one that is (Valmonte and Annette) isn't particularly sexy), but the aftermath of Cecile sitting in bed, completely corrupted by a bored Valmonte is delicious.

He's alone pitching hay in the barn and she brings him a glass of lemonade. They are finally alone and they stare into each others eyes. The sexual tension is as thick as molasses in January and then he takes the glass and he downs it as she watches.

Very subtle, very powerful.

Another great scene in that same movie ("Witness," by the way): He unexpectedly walks in on the Amish woman while she's bathing. Chaste and reserved, she starts to cover up but then stands straight, presenting herself to him in all her naked beauty. He stares for a long moment, wanting her but knowing he shouldn't, then walks on down the hallway.

The scene drips with sexual tension. My hard-on just about ripped through my jeans.

In the latest version of Pride & Prejudice with Keira Knightley:

When Darcy takes Lizzy's hand and helps her into the coach after her first visit to Netherfield, and the look he gave her as he turned away. *shiver*

Their dance at the Netherfield ball, when one moment they're surrounded by people and the next they're completely alone. Very breathtaking moment.

And of course... at the end of the movie, when Darcy walks across the field. I think that was this version's answer to Colin Firth's "wet shirt" scene in the BBC adaptation!
