If you could retire young and money was no object, what would your second career be? Just for the fun of it.

I think I'd like to try being a zookeeper. Just for the big cats though. NO reptile building.

I would be a female 'crocodile hunter' or something dealing with children - maybe take at risk children on some of my crocodile hunting expeditions :) .

oooh, I would love to work with the big white cats!!!! :D
always has been my passion, but I've never been around them. Only saw a couple in person when I visited FL once. I'd love to go up and grab one around the neck and give it a huuuuuge hug. I'm sure they wouldn't mind..lol

I would be Laurel

:p

2nd?!

I'm still working on the first one. 3 years of college and I'm still clueless.

I'd love to give Hockey another try.
My Master is a former professional hockey player. He'll be along sometime in the next couple of weeks...

I think i'd remain a science teacher in all honesty.
I *love* the job. I would however, ONLY teach the really really smart kids, the ones that wanted to learn what i teach, had an aptitude for it, and an honest interest in it. (Not the kind of interest so many parents claim for thier kids, you know?)

I'd like to research that ass you show on the av MH

:p

I'd like to work with bonobos and chimps at the Yerkes Primate Research center. Of course, so far, I have neither a degree nor a career, so I could still end up doing that. :D Ooh ooh, or I'd like to go live with some hunter gatherers and write down everything they do. That would be fun too.

I would love to work for Kevin Brownlow. He does all kinds of research on the silent movie era.

The other thing I would love to do is work with survivors of violence & at risk teens. Help them turn their lives around.

Furniture designer/maker or something that lets me travel around the world, I really love being on the road.

I'm on my second career - third actually.

My first career was in Music... it was fun, exciting - I won several awards - I made very little money. My second career was in production - Industrials (sales meetings, etc...) kind of exciting when you dealt with big acts and large events, and sometimes pretty montonous...

My current career which is usually quite challenging and I do enjoy (and pays a hell of a lot better than my music career did) is in Internet Technologies...

Moneys no object then I'd like to buy a big house and foster the 'unfosterable' kids,
or
work with the word wild life organisation to try to stop so many animals becoming extinct.
or
work with the RSPCA to stop cruelty to animals.
or
all of the above and buy a big yacht and sail round the world.

If money was no object, I would just travel all the time and meet the people I have met here.

if money was no promlem ....

seriously - if I wouldn't have to work for money I would have a few things in mind ...

1.) go to school again or rather university. Learn everything - anything that catches my interest - from chinese medicine to japanese language, I think mainly philosophy, esoteric and alternative medicine, stuff like Tai Chi and Chi Gong, and LANGUAGES would catch my fancy, combined with a load of travels to all the interesting places.

2.) if money was no issue but not available in "abundance" I would start a consulting service for small enterprises who can't afford the big names like Mc Kinsey and such ... that sure would be great - get a few small enterprises set up to kick ass! Offer the whole range from accounting advise to setting up a great internet presence and advertising .. and if possible for free or only a small charge (whatever you give for free is usually not appreciated)

3.) and if I could be really selfish - and in this case "career" is the definitely wrong word ... I would simply be travelling - travelling all over the world - visit my friends and just to give it an apparel of "job" run a web site with the most wonderfull inside travelling tips *g* whenever someone send me a tip I'd head there immediately to see if it as worth mentioning on my web site *g* .. yeah - THAT would be a career to my liking!!!!
