I have 1 post in a million (okay that’s an exaggeration) page thread. I have tried the search function to try and locate my post but unsuccessfully. I have put the thread name and my alias as the search criteria but that doesn’t work. How can I locate my needle in a haystack?

Assuming you know WHICH thread ....

While viewing that thread, upper right corner .. Search

In the dialog box that appears, there are two arrows beside 'Everywhere'. Click there and in the drop down, select This Thread.

From there, enter your user name in By:

In the main search box, it really needs a term of some sort. Try to remember any word you used. Sometime s generic word like 'the' works, but not always.

There are other ways to search all of your posts, but then you'd have to comb through them.

The ability to easily search for a single user’s (including one’s own) posts in a single thread was one of the few things better in the old forum.

ETA: And looks like the search feature here does offer a better way. :) Inside a thread, if you select “search,” you can search that thread for all posts by a certain member.
