I'm pretty new to this site and as the title says, I'm looking for someone to help look over a (relatively) short story of mine that I just recently decided to pick up again. I’m mainly looking for someone who is good at spotting grammatical errors and obvious sentence structure disasters but I would not be opposed to other inputs as well.
I’ve gotten mostly everything written already but right now I’m only looking for help with the first three parts. Everything is written in first person and switches between two characters.
Part one - Sam and his family are headed home from a three-week camping trip when a sudden opportunity presents itself, one that he is hard pressed to resist. Unfortunately, things don't go the way he expects them to and, indeed, takes a surprising turn that would end up changing his life.
It’s 14.6k words and involves a mother and her son.
Part two - Claire has been missing her boyfriend terribly and is excited about spending a full weekend with him and his family. Everything has been planned out in minute detail and all that’s left is to wait for everyone to go to bed. After all, it’s a special day and celebration is in order.
It’s 16k words and while it doesn’t involve incest it is a direct continuation from the previous part, only from his sister’s point of view. It involves cheating and old/young.
Part three - Both Sam and Claire are frustrated with their situations and the constant battle of stealth. They both want something to change and end up collaborating a plan to do just that.
It’s 23k words and involves both the previous themes.
Preferably I would like someone who wouldn’t mind taking a look at all three but just one is fine too. The first two parts can be read in any order and only contains small references to one another. Turnaround time I’m not very fussed about since it’s a hobby project and all.
If anyone would like a sample of my writing style, then I have another story that I published here a little while ago. Mind you it was written some four years ago and I’d like to think I’ve evolved a bit since then.
