I have received a number of feedback asking me to help rid A/H of Scouries. (Here's an example)

I wish that was possible but because of free speech, it probably won't happen. I suggest that the true hackers on Lit find out enough info on the asshole and post it here. Use an assumed name if necessary.

Where I come from, you don't solve problems by writing notes and letters to rats, mice or lice. Scouries is nothing but an infestation that has gotten under the skin of many writers. Good ones at that; who have left the site.

I can tell he uses many alias's to help get him votes and comments. I've seen his work on other sites and he doesn't do as well seeing he doesn' have a sounding board like he does here on Lit. You want him stopped??? Find out where he lives and works and post it on this site. Maybe, just maybe a good Samaratin will have a face to face talk with him.

I guess I should say that I am just making a suggestion and in no way suggest harm to the pimple on a rats ass to protect myself. I am also thinking of pulling my stories from Literotica if they let let this poor excuse for a human being continue to post his venom here. Lit can have him and his stories for their readers.

I'm just tired of listening and reading his bullshit day after day and something needs to be done. I know my suggestion will work. Funny thing is, I wasn't on his bad list until after he or his alias's read this Forum.

What we need

What is needed is for the owners of this site to enforce a simple code of conduct. Not censorship but simple decency. Something both scouries and Bostonfictionwriter seem to lack. If they can't or won't do that, then maybe it is time for those with ethics to leave.

I feel terrible about it and my email box has been crazy, but I won't stay at a site that doesn't stick up for authors and readers against the few that want to hurt and maim instead of hone their craft. I sent out an olive branch to BostonFictionWriter and asked why he was so down on the contests and this site. He responded and I responded to what he said. His idea of humor consists of making jokes at other's expense. I don't believe in that. It's like watching someone fall and break their arm and then laughing at them. It's wrong and hurtful.

Unfortunately, thus far this has been a survival of the fittest world on the forum. That's what the terms of use conditions say (although I think some of what happens here goes even beyond those very loose use terms). Personally, I think something could have been done (and still should be done) on the points of taking off on other members of the community personally and relentlessly (although the two in mind here aren't the only ones doing this)--certainly invoking other authors' names directly and falsely (I hope) claiming working with the site owners and being paid by the site owners to do what they do should be grounds for at least pulling postings. But that hasn't been done (the nipping in the bud). The site owners don't even seem to reign in moderators who contravene the terms of use conditions to try essentially to do the same thing to a registered member that the two in mind here are depicted as trying to do.

The bottom line is that no one "makes" someone else pull their stories and/or their registration from here. They do so themselves. The obvious motivation is to try to get the site owners to do something--but I don't see that this has happened in the past. Fine with me if it happens now, but then where would it stop?--there are always posters here that some set of other posters would love to get rid of this way just because they aren't part of their group and don't knuckle under to an Internet chat room style pecking order.

Since I started writing here last January, I have received death threats, nasty, hurtful e-mails and feedbacks. I've had bashers post redundant replies to each and every one of my stories. I've had bashers go through every single story, which they are doing now again for the sixth time as I write this, to rid me of every red H I've earned.

I have ignored what others have said about me. I am only here to write my stories. You do not see me on these sacred forum pages unless someone slanders me, as was just done.

Every contest I enter, I receive a flood of zero scores with nasty feedback from those who have not even read my story but saw my name. WTF! I'm human. I have feelings. I put effort into what I write. I'm learning to write better like everyone else who writes here.

The straw that broke the camel's back was when I received an e-mail that told me that a particular favored member on these pages was getting together with a few of her favored friends to write a couple hundred 750 word stories to steal the Survivor contest from me by posting them the last 10 weeks of the contest. Lo and behold, 3 weeks later a mystery posted posted 60 stories within a few days followed by dozens and dozens more each week.

Who gives a shit? But don't wave it in my face with an e-mail that rubs their poison in my face.

Every time I posted a question, suggestion or comment to these sacred forum pages, it was either met with a nasty reply or ignored. I know who the ones who mistreated me are. They have their own misery to worry about.

I'm tired of the favorites not giving the rest of us a chance. I don't give a shit about winning your precious contests. I am only here to write and to get legitimate feedback to what I write, not bullshit.

A coward? Certainly not. If the situation makes you sit and bawl in front of your computer, then certainly the sensible thing to do is to change something. And moving on is one of the quite legitimate choices. So would be the site owners looking at their terms of use and deciding that they were being contravened here and there--and then deleting a few posts here and there. In this case, you have the example of Darkside (and I said essentially the same thing about this) and, as you note, the Web site history. We all move on eventually. Obviously lots of people here, including me, would prefer that you didn't move on now--but if you do so, it's not because anyone else made you do so.

Yes, yes, I have no doubt there are several facets to all of this--I get to see some of them myself. But Darwinism fits with you too. And there are some things the "fittest" will do and some things done in the name of the "fittest" that the true fittest won't stoop to.

Although I write stories across the board too, I wouldn't dream of entering the Survivor's Contest here, as it's quite clear that surviving here has nothing to do with one's writing ability. You can tweak reality here, but if you let that get away with you, you can easily cross over onto not very nice ground. You may or may not have done so. Beats me (although I didn't have any trouble deciding who you were referring to in your thus far two-part Fictionerotica piece), as none of that has been on my scope.
