SCOTUS Slaps Down Obama Recess Appointments

We are going around in circles here.

To be honest, on this board, the far right has shown explicit hatred and bigotry to many groups of people, blacks, women, gays, Muslims, Hispanics, any group that does not consist of being older, white, male, Christian, and straight. For example, Ishmael compared Muslims to cockroaches and none of his right wing buddies said anything. Silence is complacency.

Constant attacks of other posters' appearances when they do not agree with what they say, that is not something to be expected from men who are past the age of 50.

That's middle school shit.

Their hatred of the President is obviously fueled in part by the color of his skin as witnessed by Bunny constantly calling the President a coon or a nigger. Yet he claims nigger is a colorblind word, but he only uses it towards people of color. I got called a fat (fat to him means not a bag of bones) nigger cunt by him. So is that word really color blind? Luckily he is safe behind his computer screen.

Those are some of the examples.

Many of those on the left have been bullheaded as well, but that is only in response to the hateful, misguided drivel from those on the far right.

There are very few posters from the right who are not extremists and can articulate their arguments in a clear and non hateful way.

I am willing to listen to other viewpoints if it doesn't involve pure hate. It is only once you attack, that is when claws will come out.

Yeah...,

What Ishmael may, or may not have said pales in comparison to what we hear from across the aisle every single day, only, like this post, it is always aimed at us. There are at least a dozen posters that I do not have on ignore who come in every single morning, ignore the topic and go for me. Now, when you're talking about people like vette, miles, some of the other middle-schoolers as you refer to them, I have to say that having been here since 1999, that at one time they did try to be polite and respectable, but the people that we are trying to have a conversation want to have nothing to do with it, so they do not any longer waste any time trying to be reasonable with the usual crowd.

Now, as far as the right denigrating groups. Generally we try to talk about individuals but the people that we converse with cannot get past the group identities of anyone that we we about. I think that an even worse injustice is done by your side when it refuses to treat all people as individuals but as groups, or classes, which you must defend at all costs, the soft loving patronization of low expectation.

So while some people may make disparaging remarks about a group, say women or blacks, it is no different that the eternal lament that their identified group status has already diminished and denigrated them and that we have to bend over backwards to be sensitive to them and that includes the cockroaches of radical Islam who love to kill Christians, Jews, Moderate Muslims and Gays while treating all women as chattel.

The hatred of this President has noting to do with his skin color. It has to do with the color of the content of his character which is Red. He is at best an Alinskyite Socialist and at worse the unrepentant stealth Communist who matriculated in the Little Red Church in Hawaii and matured at Occidental where the leader of the Communist Party was lecturing him to renounce violence and infiltrate the system to take it over from within. Furthermore, in order not to look stupid, I actually purchased and read his opus Dreams, which among other things proved that the Terrorist Bill Ayers is a talented writer, but at no time does the young Senator to be (who told his publicist that he was born in Kenya, similarly I'm guessing that his admission into Occidental was based upon being "Indonesian") peak about any epiphanical moment in which he discovered that Communism is a failed Social and Economic model to follow, but what we did learn is that he learned to "act white" and to become a canvas where people could protect and see their dreams and beliefs without revealing any of his own.

And we like Hillary a lot less and it has nothing to do with her being a woman, but her proclivity to scheme, lie, break the law and then act like WE'RE the ones responsible when she gets caught red-handed in the cookie jar.

Those accusations of Racism and Misogyny are the real Middle-School tactics and destroy any hope of dialog, understanding, compromise or healing as the Left tries to shatter Capitalism (classical Liberalism) and replace it with the Socialism that destroys the human spirit, drains economies, and teaches people to become victims and mistrust their fellow man in a race to the bottom to prove who is most needy of the fruits of those few with ability.

I hope you don't expect your explanation to make a bit of difference to it?

It's still hung up on the cockroach thing, which was an analogy not a comparison, but understanding that would require a modicum of reading comprehension. It not only missed the analogy, but proceeded to project it to ALL Muslims. And it (they) wonder why we think of them as 8th graders!

I'm making the stereotype a little more gray. Isn't that their boastful pride? We see the grey, we're nuanced, you're just black and white. At least I can be red and white...

:D

Another thought on the President's race.

Perhaps it is a problem of the Left that they cannot see past his skin color, that they obviously voted him in despite being unqualified and not ready for the responsibility simply because of his skin color and that they continue the soft racism of low expectation because of his skin color and refuse to take any of his mistakes and over-reach seriously because of his skin color...

... similarly, wanting to send a similar message about group identity, they are now eager to elect Hillary just to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are not just the party of black skin, but the party of women.

Are they in direct violation of Dr. King's Dream because they do not see individuals, only groups?

Is that why you lump everyone you disagree with into the group right-wing?

They are clearly individuals...

They only judge him by the color of his skin, so the missing content of his character is immaterial.

They naturally assume that his skin color is important to us because they have so vested themselves in his "Historic" Presidency.

...and it isn't the President's race that is the factor. It is literally the color of his skin. The president, like a lot of people in modern society is bi-racial, whatever that means. The important thing in his case is that the gene for melanin production is dominant. If that were not the case, with his resume he never would have even been considered for that speech at the DNC.

Harry Reid in a rare moment of truthful candor was not kidding when he spoke of the only important qualification that Obama had.
Democratic Senator Harry Reid said:
"He is a light-skinned Black with no Negro dialect, unless he wants to."

Not only did that one gene propel his academic, community organizing, and political career...it has inured him from his share of media scrutiny and the race card has kept even the threat of impeachment off the table.

Sarah Palin? Who is she that anyone should be called out for dissing her?

The bright side is that this might conceivably lead to the Senate filibuster rule being scrapped entirely.

so did the supreme court hold that only the senate decides when it is in session?

Hello?

Is that what the opinion says?

Yes.

The liberal Justice Breyer's implicit criticism of the move from Obama, who often touts his credentials as a former constitutional law professor, was particularly biting. Breyer wrote, simply, "that only the Senate could decide when it was in recess — not the president."

Quoted in the unlikely hope that Republicans will not fuck up the near certainty that THEY will benefit from your point of view in 2014.

Holy fuck, Mee Mie came back to derp.

Shit, is Firespin gonna pop up next? :D

Why is it that you feel free to malign special needs kids when you disagree with the political positions of others?

You need to check your intelligence privilege. Not everyone is blessed to be born with the intellectual capacity that you clearly have but refuse to use on anything that doesn't confirm your preexisting biases.

Hey. Hold on a cotton-pickin' minute, guy.

You may be the cock-of-the-walk right now with your RW celebrity makeover, but that don't give you the right to lambaste an old-timer like Mee Mie as developmentally challenged. Some of us here have earned our stripes by being in the trenches from jump, you gots a way to go, padawan.

Yeah. Right.

This coming from a person who has no legs to stand on trying to play this fucking card. Not even owning the handicapped parking sticker and license plate.

If we ARE talking ACTUAL handicapped placard, I qualify. I choose to make do with the limp and the exercise. i could get the note from the doctor a bit easier than the average obese American with one. I am a live and let live guy though. They want to park closer and die sooner, not my never-mind.

I don't know, having a severely multiply-handicapped brother and an autistic daughter make me as black as you?

Hey...we all got our sob stories, guy.

I could double-down on the suffering/oppressed Olympics card game here too, even to prove to you exactly how "black" you could never become and would never want to become, but it'd be just anecdotes in the end and I never air out that shit when it's unnecessary.

Be careful about what sorta pain you want to admit. Compassion levels here aren't really all that great when we have this vast purposely partisan disconnect between us, especially when cutting and pasting articles on other peoples' tragedies used for politics. Ish is supposedly suffering from cancer, yet trying to save possible suicide jumpers is a waste of money. Which one do you think I decide to give a care about more? Maybe because I knew someone who did do just that and succeeded?

Shit does happen to us in life and I guess we're just coming here to vent about it, whether it's using terms like derp or condensed generalities like Jamaals in Cleveland.
