SCOTUS Rules Against the Improper Use of Amicus Briefs

get it now?

What you WANT to call him, isn't what he IS CALLED. Under the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure (FRCP), Flynn is "the Defendant".

You can pout, stick out your tongue, and stomp your feet all you want but it won't change that FACT.

You can pout, stick our your tongue, and stomp your feed all you want but it won't change anything.

Last time she cut her bangs, she went a little too deep.

Applying a biased label because you think it means something is worthless because "convicted felon" is not a party to any judicial proceeding. At trial the term is "the Defendant". Even "the accused" is improper.

On appeal, the proper term to use is either appellant or respondent.

Failure to use the correct terminology can get you sanctioned by the court.

Exactly. Becoming a convicted felon via a guilty plea (2 of them even!) now makes him an appellant, not a defendant.

Now back to the "special" class you go.

it would have been easier just to say we're correct.

we can say that about your last manscaping attempt, vettey.

FRCP Rule 32 specifically says otherwise. Try again.

It's not my fault you can't keep up with the rest of the class.

no but it's your fault that you didn't pay attention in law school. i'm guessing you just took the bar and skipped law school altogether. there's really no other explanation for your ignorance of your chosen profession.

While I suspect you are correct in the terminology on "The Defendant", I can't help but Chuckle over how you can defend one legal term, but refute another....
Example below....

Note: the term I am referring to is the legal term "Firearm" as it is used in Canadian law....not "Gun"

Unfortunately for your pea sized brain, the word Firearm MAY BE a "legal term of art" in Canada but that doesn't eliminate the lexicon in the US or the rest of the world.

Unless you're trying to say that Canada conquered the planet overnight and no one noticed.

He watched three seasons of Matlock, and the most contact he had with the “bar” was the place on the corner with the small caged windows.

BTW, sweety, it's possible to not go to law school and pass the bar. Question: if someone were to do it that way, wouldn't it be a sign that they were SMART because they did something that most law school graduates can't do?

Yet he lays you two incompetent bar flies out every time you presume to enter his field of endeavor.
