The Court is taking up just one charge among several that were levied. It won't mean all that much for individuals. I doubt any of the rioters were charged only with that one charge. It's moot to many others, who have already been convicted and served time (again on a broader range of charges than just the obstruction one).

But, yes, I think the Court is going to strike that down, probably on purely partisan bases.

Yes, on 4/25, from what I’ve read, but obstruction now.

I’ve already commented on that. Listening to oral arguments the obstruction of a government proceeding is going to be very streamlined and ruled not applicable to J6 individuals charged for the catch all statute. The DOJ, like usual, overplayed their authority, I can see class action suit as a result of this ruling.

We’ll see. A number of talking head attorneys are saying the law says what it says and a crime is a crime.
