Scotty's Been Beamed Up

:rose:

Mr. Scott, may the great hereafter come close to the great far future you helped us all live.

"There be whales here." - just one of his many great lines.

He'd been poor heatlh for a while. We'll miss him as an actor, and Scottie for the hopeful future he helped protray.

Awww....

"Very funny Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."

So many great lines. :)

In honour of Mr. Scott:

All together now, 1... 2... 3...

Scottie was the original hacker, making things that didn't exist simply because they needed to be and pushing that little bit more out over 110%.

He will be missed.

All the good one-liners have been taken. He boldy went, or something.

It just occured to me, do you really think he'd want to be remembered as a fictional character? Bye, James. :rose:

My all time favourite bit of Scotty dialogue.

(Very drunk alien) "What is it?"
(Very drunk Mr. Scott) "It's green."

So long, Mr. Scott. You'll be missed.

And God said, "This is your final beam up Mister Scot so kick back, put your feet and relax. You've earned it"

I love that one, too.

Mr. Scott and the alien had been through every bit of liquor on the ship, I think. He was trying to get the alien drunk to do - what? Did the aliens have control of the ship or something?

Or maybe it was to reverse the polarity. :D

At any rate, well done, Mr. Scott. :rose:

Obituary: James Doohan

He's gone for a treck in the stars. :rose:

O - the ultimate trekkie - will be saddend. Yet of death I imagine ... always in the stars and beyond the light for us all.

I am an optimistic existentialist with a bend for christianity, buddhism, Juddaism and Karl Jung ... though not a scientologist!

Edit in hommage: And O's fave line is "I can't go any faster, Captain!"

Which is JUST BAD SEX to me!

I for one will miss him as an author as well as an actor -- he co-authored a SF series, TheFlight Engineer, with S.M Stirling that is the very best of all the Star Trek cast's attempts at writing fiction, IMHO.

One last thought or mission? Why does everyone take death as such an awful and horrid thing? It is not.

No it's not, and I don't think most people see it that way. It's an awful and horrid thing for those left behind (I mean loved ones and family and friends), who have this person in their lives one day, then suddenly they are gone, and they miss them, and hurt and grieve. :(

Rest in Peace Scotty

there isn't much else to say actually ... and thats coming from a huge Star Trek Fan.
