Scissors....

Rock, Paper, Scissors, a game we used to play,
Back when we were children, back before that day,
Back when we were a family, best friends, a team,
Back when we were together, once upon a dream.

I am the rock, the strongest of the three,
I couldn't keep us together, it wasn't meant to be,
I believe strongly, in womans right to rule,
But I bet it all away, I was nothing but a fool.

I am the paper, the joker, the clown,
I try to make her smile, it hurts to see her frown,
Always pushed tosecond, always pushed down fast,
I won't let him beat me, I won't be pushed to last.

I am the scissors, sly, swift and strong,
I left anyway, even though I knewit waswrong,
I left them anyway, though they're my closest friends,
It was all my fault, that it all had to end.

Rock, Paper, Scissors, a game we used to play,
Back when we were children, back before that day,
Now we stand alone, gone three separate ways,
We cannot turn back history, back to the good old days.

i like scissors. not as much as you like em, but, i think they're very elegant in their design. i make zines, so scissors are a necessity to my work.
