Sci-fi fantasy: guy logs into VR game that lets him experience sex as a woman

So while I usually don’t like the series attached to the idea, I like deep immersive VR as a concept (where you’re lying down but you can feel everything, sometimes it even has time dilation so you can spend an week in the game while only spending an hour in the real world) got me to thinking about a topic that occasionally does get brought up in those titles: dysmorphia. Like you could play someone who is a giant but for most people this would create a severe disconnect

Anyway, onto the idea: Guy gets his first immersive set up and logs into a new Adult Online game. The game has regular disclaimers but he’s also asked to verbally agree to a statement that says:

“In the world of (insert game here) a player is allowed to explore externally and internally. As others respect my freedom, I shall respect theirs.”

Guy then creates his his character and decides if he’s going to play a character, it may as well be someone he finds sexy, so he makes himself a buxom woman to play as. He starts journeying and eventually winds up in a situation where either an NPC or a player wants to sleep with him. A consent screen pops up and the guy figures, “why the heck not?” And agrees, figuring he’ll get a good laugh out of it…only to find despite being a guy, the immersive set lets him feel perfectly like he’s being fucked as a woman. When his partner eats him out, he feels it, when he titfucks them, he feels a dick sandwiched between his breasts, when he’s penetrated and his partner rubs his clit, he feels all of it. Guy is shocked but the orgasm he gets is phenomenal yet completely different from when he normally climaxes.

Afterwards, Guy goes into a tavern and chats some players up. They remind him of the rule which means he can’t pry into who someone is behind their avatar but they say he must be a woman as most people can’t stand being too different from their real body…leaving our protagonist with a lot to think about.

I figure it could go a few ways: maybe he’s actually bigender (identifying with both genders) and the VR lets them explore the other side, or maybe she’s actually trans, or maybe there is no gender issue at all, guy just has a kink for getting fucked when people think he’s a woman and the game let him find that out about himself.

Story could also open up to introduce more characters who use the game to explore parts of themselves or identities they don’t feel they can explore in the physical world

I'd prefer him to be 100% cis male who just discovered a new kink.

I actually wrote something very much like this! In my mind, it was intended to be a first part, and one that gets way more action as it goes on, but so far it's only got the one part.

It comes from a very personal place for me so it's not published yet, I need to be in the right frame of mind to edit it - but it's essentially this with a slight sci-fi twist on it to make it realistic. Dude uses VR and AR augmentation to 'shift' into a female body and experience life like he wants it to be - as a hot woman who can love and flaunt her own sexuality.
