There is enough food and water, so they won't starve. But they have no spare clothing and after some time, the clothes become really damaged and thin .... so finally they end up nude, or at least half nude ....

Nothing odd friend, in the UK students at tech college or colleges of further education would be on field trips with any number of odd student teacher ratios, 2 to 5, 5 to 2, 2 to 12, you name it.

In UK a lot of students sign up for college as soon as secondary education ends at 16, by 18 most are second year college students approaching their first batch of university qualification exams.
My son has just got back from a jolly in Belgium researching something obscure, he's 17 still, there were 24 students and 3 tutors in the party that travelled.

okay in my opinion humans as a species are a bit stuffy. we have to make it believable that they would be willing to sleep around with the group.

You could turn this into a nonconsent story. maybe the co-ed students and teachers sort of break off into groups, men and women, because of some stupid challenge they issue each other at the beginning of their ordeal. Since they think they're going to be rescued right away, they can relax and have fun. The guys are going to be the first to get horny, if you want to follow the cliches and such, so maybe they construct a plan to go over to the other side of the island and kidnap one of the women. They bring the woman back to their camp and rape her, fuck her, do everything imaginable to her. Since she's been without a man OF COURSE she's going to enjoy it! They could turn her into a slave in their camp, as well. One by one they abduct the women. Or, the women could do the same to the men.

maybe they've been on the island for a long time and the two groups have been arguing, and finally they split. in anger, both groups swear to not socialize with the other, no matter what. the two in question don't want to let their groups down, and that's why they keep it a secret.
