Premise -- young man (early 20s) is ... for lack of a better term,. propositioned by his fiancee's younger sister (18+, of course) or mother, in an attempt to keep other family or friends (the young woman's father in particular) from knowing the sexual component of the relationship.

For a category, I'm thinking either EC or Non-consent/Reluctance; if it's the mother, Mature might work as well (not LW, as I have an "avoid feeding the trolls unless you have to" policy).

Thoughts are always welcome, and my thanks.

I think mature would work well if it's the mom.

It's not totally clear from your description, but is there a form of blackmail involved, like the younger sister is conniving and has a piece of potentially damaging info about the young man. If so, noncon/reluctance could make sense.

Make sure he keeps his condoms in the car. . . .

OK, it's definitely headed toward EC, and I'm looking to go with the younger sister angle. Now what I need is to get the backstory better fleshed out ... I'm not a big fan of simply rushing into The Deed.

Thanks to you both for ideas so far.

Or you could start with the deed, like a lot of movies and TV shows do, then hit the back story, with another deed at the end where he takes on the mom and the sister in the back of his van. ;)

Just one thought: Noncon has a much bigger readership than EC, usually. So if there are noncon elements, you'll get a lot more readers posting it there than in EC.

Also, there are a number of readers who have a visceral negative reaction to meeting non consent in other categories, even subtle CNC. I know we tag and everything but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

I've worked on this one a little at a time for a good while, and after about 6600 words, it's going in a direction similar to one I explored in another story.; in fact, it would be a retelling of that story's fundamental question and premise, only with a different lead-in and outcome.

In that light, should I continue with it, or scrap it and go to my next idea?

Feedback is welcome, either here or in PM.

Just write the damn thing. So what if it's similar to something you've already written - or you can just say it's about a universal truth.

I can always count on you to shoot straight and put a grin on my face.

Yep, I'll write it -- it's already turning into a different variation on a core value my male leads hold., so it has that going for it.

Well, after seven months of what the Cyrkle called "stolen minutes of [my] time," I finally finished this story, named "Offers", and sent it for publication. I wasn't going for quantity over quality (as indeed I never do), but it's my longest to date (14,703 words).

To those of you who encouraged me by your posts on here, I give you my thanks.
