Does anyone know how to get into a scanner?? Mine has lots of dust inside it that show up when ever I scan something...so I spend LOTS of time just doing away with the dust spots. Is there anyway to remove the glass and clean the head and glass..or am I screwed once again?

Screwed without the benifit of getting fucked, so sad :(

Probably tho, most of them are sealed plastic, to keep the dust from getting inside probably, look around and if you see any screws, undue them :)

No screws.. Thats what I can not figure out. If the damn thing is sealed then how the hell did all the dust and shit get in there. I HAVE HAD ON BAD FUCKEN NIGHT!!!!!!!!!:(

If increasing the scan quality doesn't fic your problem, call a local computer shop and ask them if they can clean it for you.

It's often easy to get a scanner a part to clean inside, but all of them are assembled differently. My old scanner was assembled with screw and my new one just snaps together.

If you're not mechanically inclined, it might be best if you paid someone who is to disassemble and clean it.

Scanners are NOT hermetically sealed -- or if you have one that is, it wasa LOT more expensive than a typical scanner. You might consider making a dust cover for yours once you get it cleaned.
