As I sit in front of my vanity mirror, getting ready for the party, I think to myself will he flirt again, do I want it?

I am a happily married woman, I’m 38 now, my husband and I have been together 14 years, we have one son and he lives abroad. Our sex life has become stagnant. We love each other and have talked about fantasies to try and spice things up…to no avail

Tonight we are hosting a small gathering for his work. He’s made partner and his work is important to him and it provides our family quite well. I work from home and I look forward to these get together, mingling with the wives…but then there is Marcus.

Marcus is my husbands coworker. He’s married as well and his wife is active in our community. She is always donating her time to some cause. Marcus has flirted with me before and I thought nothing of it until last week when I received a text…

“Can’t wait to see you again Jade, hope there is time to sneak away and chat ”

The door bell rings as I finish getting ready, my tight green dress is on, my hair back…my husband states that Marcus and Jen are here. One last look in the mirror as I head downstairs…

People are scattered in every room, talking, mingling and laughing… I find my husband and grab his arm. He kisses me on the cheek and whispers “let’s have fun dear”. I’m scanning the room cautiously looking for Marcus and I do not see him. Maybe they decided not to come. Then I hear a voice, a little louder than everyone else. It’s Heather, Marcus’s wife. Marcus is there and our eyes meet. I can feel myself blush and I have to walk away, wondering what he wants to chat about.
I fix my dress, look in mirror a bit more and come out of the room, Marcus is right in front of me..
