this Baptist church leadership's not exactly going too well
the latest guy's shortly resigned after being considered for the leadership position; the due diligence found he lied his face off on his resume about schools he attended and degrees he said he'd earned. Before him, the guy resigned over controversy regarding the SBC's sex abuse crisis, and the bloke before HIM resigned due to misconduct. Oh boy, what a bunch!

McLaurin had been interim president and CEO of the Executive Committee since February 2022 and had worked for the Executive Committee since 2020. The committee oversees the business of the nation’s largest Protestant denomination between the SBC’s annual meetings.
