And while you're at it, cut people some slack.

My eyes hurt. I've got no tears left yet I keep crying at random moments...

People are tired. Exhausted. Hurt. Scared. Scared for themselves, their families, their friends, their country, their world.

Think before you speak. Realize everyone else is in just as much pain as you are.

Railing out against stereotypes accomplishes nothing. Spouting platitudes is meaningless. I said something the other day that I regret now. Spurred on by helplessness, fear, concern and a wish to set things right. I see others treading down that path as well.

Don't.

Think first... think second... then think yet again.

And... let's not all be so quick to condemn - realize that we all may say things spurred on by more emotions then we can handle. None of us are any single one of our statements. We are complex... and we are fallable.

And when we do say something we may not have fully thought through - just admit it and move on.

We can all use some slack, some compassion.

I'm sorry, Dill. I'm not going to talk about this subject anymore with the people of Lit. It's painful and futile.

You, too? I think my eyelids are actually swollen. I couldn't watch the TV anymore.

Good man, Dillinger -

For understandable reasons, everyone's going mad, and stupid things are being said, and apparently done, if the tales of molestations are correct. I'd urge everyone to breathe deeply, but that's the last thing New Yorkers should do just yet. The air is full of stench and asbestos.

Yeah...that's what I said. But on another thread. So, ummmm....what do I win, Dill for thinking just like you? :)

I think we could all use one right about now.

But I'm a little too afraid of this angry mob to get any closer. *grin*

I just want to comfort those I care about the best I can through a computer monitor.

My heart bleeds for those who died and for those left behind. I have the urge to hold, rock gently, and comfort.

A lot of things can be *faked* online..

But the emotions created seldom are.

OK!!!!! Here's what I have to say

Were all shocked, and hurt about all this, but I think we should try and move on to happier things. I think everyone's said what they wanted to say. We all sympathies, but, we can't erase the past.
