And while you're at it, cut people some slack.
My eyes hurt. I've got no tears left yet I keep crying at random moments...
People are tired. Exhausted. Hurt. Scared. Scared for themselves, their families, their friends, their country, their world.
Think before you speak. Realize everyone else is in just as much pain as you are.
Railing out against stereotypes accomplishes nothing. Spouting platitudes is meaningless. I said something the other day that I regret now. Spurred on by helplessness, fear, concern and a wish to set things right. I see others treading down that path as well.
Don't.
Think first... think second... then think yet again.
And... let's not all be so quick to condemn - realize that we all may say things spurred on by more emotions then we can handle. None of us are any single one of our statements. We are complex... and we are fallable.
And when we do say something we may not have fully thought through - just admit it and move on.
We can all use some slack, some compassion.
