and

people cut you down so often in life, whether knowingly or not... sometimes subtly and sometimes overtly. Sometimes they do it so often you start to believe them.

So, say something nice about yourself. Maybe something that nobody else really knows.

Few know the "nice" things I do, and that in itself is what it is, I am happy with that. No one cuts me down in life because I am simply too happy in life and in myself to give a shit if they do, and no one does unless they do not know me. Say something nice about myself? I have great hair and legs and tits (they grew!) and so did I - YET - I am as I want to be, with room to grow and learn.
