Say a Prayer

Thanks guys. I didn't create the thread to push religion, but to provide encouragement, support and listening hearts for people in pain. We all know friends and family and even ourselves that have battled cancer, loss, divorce, loss of job and other ducky things that happen in life and to get an caring heart to listen and support, encourage and yes prayer, is something we all need.

So like is said. If you believe in it and want it, it's here..if you don't ..the. Go somewhere else. And thanks for all of you who understood why I did this and brought it back.

We all need support at some time in our lives.

A mutual friend told me today that our lately passed sister Penuche was of the same faith as myself . So , in her honour

Dearest Soul, may the arms of the Great Mother embrace you and hold you to her bosom, as she guides you to the Summerlands, where the skies are ever blue, the breezes sweet and the water runs clear. May the sun kiss your cheek gently and the eternal landscape roll as far as your eyes can see

Blessed Be

Such a beautiful post...I so much miss her...:(

I am so sorry everyone. I didn't know her but I am so sorry for your loss.

I am a counselor at a local hospital and I am called in when some is dying or has died for support for the family. I was called in three times this weekend. It is difficult and trying at times but it is worth it when the family appreciates you being there for them.

Well I am not so sure I am an amazing man... I have always tried to be there for others... so when they asked me if I would do it... I almost didn't. I had just stopped doing jail counseling for drug addicts for the last 6 yrs. So I was weary of the stress but I have been doing it now for 6 more years.. I was every other weekend but all the death started to get to me and so I backed off to once a month. But amazing.. I would not say that I am.. just a guy trying to be there for others with comfort and support.

Some positive thoughts and prayers for a few. My ex wife, her step dad died and they were really close. He was a nice guy. A she friend her mother in law died. A friend of mine has tumors all over her body and doctors can't figure out what's going on. Tried to send her to specialists but they refused her insurance. So trying to find out what next.

Thanks folks.

Sunday night, my daughter's Nana died with her holding her hand. She is only 11. Today is the viewing and tomorrow the funeral. I also used to do counseling in the local jail to the guys locked up. One of them has been able to stay clean and yesterday his dad passed. I got to know his family well. So Friday I have another funeral to go to. I hope this loss doesn't trigger his addiction.
This whole summer has been one serious issue after another. I'm wore out.
Please if you can say a prayer or if you don't believe that way, throw some good thoughts our way. Thank you. :(

Great Mother,

Look down on our brother in pain and be with him, stand by his bedside for the coming three days and nights and see that he is returned safe to us .

Blessed Be x

Bumping this thread up because I need it.

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Matthew 26:42
This directly applies to what I'm going through, possibly others as well:
O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Once again I thought this was dead and it comes up again with someone asking. I’m saying a prayer.
