While surfing naked in a restricted part of the beach. 18-year-old Josh is saved from drowning by a beautiful blonde mermaid With D cup breasts. The two make out and the mermaid notices his huge erection and gives him an epic blow job

I don't mind this as a setup, but I think it needs a lot more going on to be something more than just simple male fantasy. There's a reason that mermaids are typically tragic romantic characters - they are problematic characters when it comes to sex. She just enjoys rescuing and sucking off young men? Doesn't she want sexual satisfaction herself? (and what does that mean to a mermaid?) Does she want romance or love? Are they biological creatures? Magical? Mutated? Cursed? Do they have genitalia, are there mermen as well, and if so, why would she prefer a human with his incompatible genitalia? Can she give epic blowjobs because she can hold her breath for an obscenely long time? Wouldn't her d-cup breasts impede her natural swimming ability?

Not dumping on your idea here, just brainstorming some questions.

I love mermaids! This would make a great story, with many possibilities.

For one, a mermaid can do more than blowjobs. She can do handjobs, titty-fucks, and I suppose a tail-job.

Also, there is an old legend (that I just made up on the spot) that during sexual arousal, a mermaid can "switch" - she goes from human above the waist and fish below the waist, to fish above the waist and human below the waist. Then she can fuck all night. As long as you don't mind the giant fish head up top.

Assuming Mermaids are mammals (it's difficult to tell, they are usually presented as mammals. At the very least they have mammaries, their tails are aligned the same way aquatic mammals are (up and down) as opposed to fish (left and right) but they are almost invariably drawn with fish like scales and filmy (I don't know the term) tails like fish rather than mammals. Ad in that their not real and things get a bit confusing.

That said assuming they are mammals they would presumably have all the same bits as people. They would still reproduce sexually. (In theory again, nothing in any of the myths I've been exposed to suggest Mermaids reproduce magically) In some tellings (most recently Pirates 4) they become human on dry land though I think that kinda defeats the purpose of telling a mermaid sex story.

It's got a fair bit of potential here for an entertaining story. Unless you planned on doing several stories I probably wouldn't bother going to far into what mermaids are, certainly no more than is necessary. What I would focus on is how their paths cross. Does he stumble upon her sunning on a secluded beach? Does she get caught up in his net? Does he fall overboard and she sees fit to save him instead of simply letting him drown?

That right there has a lot to do with setting the tone. A mermaid (lets call her Ariel) saved you after you fell over board is going to act a lot different from a mermaid who got caught in your fishing net and very much doesn't want to be dissected for science or carted off to Sea World and both of them are going to act differently from a mermaid who was just on some very secluded beach and has no idea what a human is except from their own mythology.

You're making me think of that Futurama episode with the mermaid.

Since they are non-existent beings, you can do what you want with them (no pun intended). If you want them to have a human-like vagina hidden away underneath the scales, no one can really take issue with it.

I just thought of another concept that I think is a little better than the first one. Instead of the mermaid saving the guy from being eaten by sharks How about the guy saves the mermaid from dying then she is obligated to pleasure him.

So are vampires but lots of people got plenty pissy when vampires decided to fucking sparkle.

That could work. You'd have to tread carefully though since you're basically implying that women are supposed to pay up if someone does them a good deed. Still I like this idea.

LOL. Just pointing out potential pitfalls along the way is all. Like I said I like this story idea. I've already written something similar but mermaids rank up fairly well in my listing of sexy fantasy women.

Here is a mermaid character concept drawing I did years ago, though under water with only part of the vulva visible she has human genitalia the fish section covers only the legs. Before anyone ask what’s up with the hair it was designed to look like a sea anemone.

Here is my eBay purchase an 'original' drawing by Jean Cocteau of a Mermaid that could copulate with a man.

The vendor described it as a 'Merman'. I don't think so, but she's not as well developed up top as the story idea that started this thread.

Sean you got it backwards, fish have vertical tail fin mammals have horizontal. Think of a whale, or dolphin. ;)

Just to be that girl, think of the animal planet show they did, supposed to have proof, as in scans of remains of a mermaid, or man, along with a video. Was not a beautiful gal but more of a fish with arms really. It was a little comical in mermaids are a relative of neanderthal or whatever that went back to the sea and developed along lines that make them able to.

Which is good in theory but so doesn't reflect the supposed sightings of them. :(

You are correct, or more accurately I used a wrong word. I meant the way they move not the way they are aligned. Stupid me.

Considering the real sightings of them are supposedly manatees I think it was a very good documentry. LOL.

I was actually much more interested in why they went full aquatic when I'd think that something more akin to seals would have made more sense especially since they made such a big deal about what giant fuck beasts lived in the sea at that time being able to retreat to land would be a pretty good gig.

Standard theory is dolphins, manatee do not keep up with a sail boat.

Course you are wrong again, you are so bad about being wrong lately. :p When the precursors to people were walking upright the only things dangerous in the ocean are what is there now mostly. Sharks, eels and barracuda. All three are easy enough to avoid. Before you mention them a giant squid doesn't come up often and people are unable to go that deep.

My one complaint about the theory is simply why don't we know about them better than sailor stories from hundreds of years ago? Dolphins go and swim with ships, not because they want to play with it, they use the ship to travel faster. Mermaids would do the same thing unless they decided they have undersea nations which makes absolutely no sense.

Okay, I finally wrote, submitted, and got this story posted. Thanks for all the inspiration, youse guys! Check it out:

Ever since re-watching the movie Splash as an adult, I've always wondered what a mermaid would look like naked, particularly their genitalia (Farrah Fawcett should have posed nude THEN, in a mermaid theme). I thought it was incredibly hot when Madison was on dry land with human legs, wearing just a t-shirt (and I think, white panties), and that after continuing to kiss the guy she rescued, he decides to delay going back to work for a while and has sex with her.

At the end of the movie, they go back to sea together so become full mermaids. How they mate underwater, I don't know.

I've seen pre-Disney depictions of mermaids that show them with long thin fins on human-like legs either side of a human crotch, rather than the single caudal fin from the hips down.

I only just saw the link and now read the story- good job!

Definitely a big twist at the end and quite entertaining! An erotic tale indeed, but of a different kind. Good writing.

My advice is not to worry about the anatomical details too much. Once you do that, you're stuck wondering how something like that actually evolves, and soon it's too implausible to wank over. Well, almost...
