Saturday morning cartoons

It somehow came up in a conversation with a friend that even though Snidely Whiplash was a villain he was pretty darn good with a rope. It got me to wondering…….

Do you think Saturday morning cartoons influenced your leanings towards this lifestyle in any way?

Snidely Whiplash, Nell... sure! What young boy wouldn't want to find a young girl and tie her up after seeing Snidely in action?

I think Capt. Kangaroo and his big pockets full of surprises may have had something to do with the influences, too.

And then there were those "innocent" sitcoms, too. Who can forget the time that June asked her hubby, "Ward, don't you think you were a little hard on the Beaver last night?"

I don't know about the Saturday Morning Cartoons, but the original nancy Drew mysteries was a big influence for me -- it always seemed that Nancy, Bess or George was always getting tied up SOMEWHERE
