Needy is okay, but needy to the point of not accepting that your partner is trying to meet your needs, that is a whole nother ball of wax. If I surprise my partner with her favorite dish, crab legs and lobster tail, cooked by me, since I am highly allergic to it, it is only for her...and the following day she says "You never do anything for me that shows me you love me..."
