Sasha Grey teaching an "applied" class of Sex Ed

I've had the idea for a while that a famous (former or current) porn star like Sasha Grey is asked to teach a sex ed class, making full use of her movies and live demonstrations of a wide range of topics.

Obviously it'd have to be for a college class, or a high school class of 18-year-olds. My only concern is how to make it work; I know teaching policies about sex education vary widely across the US, so the way I see it I could either

a) Have it be a formerly very conservative school (with like-minded students, natch) that just recently changed its policies and wants to make a bold statement,
b) Have a very liberal/open-minded school that wants to be very innovative in its teaching policies.

What do people think?

You make it work by fictionalizing Sasha Grey. You can use shared characteristics enough for you to be thinking Sasha Grey while you write it and for at least some of your readers to make a connection too her. But use a fictionalized character name. The story idea is fine. There's no reason, though, that it has to be written up using a specific celebrity. If you can't get past doing that, you are obsessed with Sasha Grey and can't write parallel characters, not with having a hot story to post here.

As I said, it's a good story line--believable for college-level, because such classes are being taught in college, but a lot less believable for the senior high school level (and most high school seniors aren't 18 until late in the year). Another "if you can't get beyond . . ." would be if you feel you have to write it up for high-school age. If so, you're more interested in mucking with the Web site rules on underage than you are in writing a hot story.

I know I don't HAVE to use Sasha Grey, I'm choosing to because a)it's what I prefer and b) it's part of my niche; all of my stories posted thus far are about/involve celebrities (which, by the way, are all fictionalized versions by definition--I don't know if any people I use are like that in real life, obviously). Calling me "obsessed" is pretty strong considering it's the first time I'm asking

And in terms of the high school idea--I know I'd be playing it risky, but there are plenty of stories on the site already that use the setting already, so why would this be any different?

Well, you asked what we think. I think you are more interested in pushing the restrictions at Literotica than in writing a hot, erotic story. You could easily think Sasha Grey while writing Molly Tiddlybutt, and I have no sympathy for your need to brush with underage. But to each his own. I think you could write a hot story on this theme without pushing the envelope(s), so that's my response to the question.

Thanks for the support. The story I had really came from the idea that a porn star could be considered a "professional" in sex, so she knows the best ways to turn people on and get them off. Add that to the ideas of public nudity and group sex within a classroom environment, and that's pretty much the drive behind the story.

A literal "sex education", as it were.

Ok, so how about under the lectures on not getting pregnant, the teacher discusses oral sex as an alternative to intercourse. Some in the class complain that it doesn't feel as good or it's not as satisfying. Then the teacher shows them some deep throat, and proceeds with classroom training.

I think I agree with other people about using a fictional porn star rather than an actual porn star. I think that would actually free you up a little bit more. You could come up with a porn star that has her own personality, background, thoughts etc from pure imagination. If you wanted to use a living porn star, than you'd have to do some work to make it convincing.

There's plenty of college level courses that involve sexuality. Thing is, you have to get a relevant Master's or PhD to teach at one. I think this is the first snag when it comes to suspended disbelief for your story. Sasha Grey is crazy smart, but does she have a graduate degree?

Also, Porn star teaching sex-ed is not necessarily interesting in itself. What about *this* porn start and *this* particular class make it interesting? What could be added here?

It is kind of like that show community. Joel McHale's character in the show is good because his a disbarred lawyer/con-artist. He's a dude who's down on his luck, in a place he doesn't quite belong, doing something he doesn't want to do, but needs to. If he was simply another 18 year old kid out of high school, dawdling about a junior college, that'd be boring.

This is a different approach than others have talked about, but I'd start with the detail that Grey is purportedly very interested in philosophy and in particularly existentialism. Let's say she decides on academic studies in philosophy as her post-porn career, changes her name (an obvious anagram like Sarah Yegs), and after studying a few years, gets a lecturer position at a very conservative college, with nobody, at first, knowing about her past. She gets frustrated with her students' lack of worldliness and their refusal to actually live the philosophy that she's teaching them. So starts to use sexuality as a way of teaching existentialism to the students, teaching them very personal lessons through seduction, betrayal, love, hearbreak, etc. She approaches it very clinically, even harshly. (Iabelle Huppert's nihilist character in I Heart Huckabees would be a good inspiration for this element).
Sub-plots could be a couple students figuring out her identity and trying to blackmail her, which of course she's able to turn around on the students; Sasha fucking her way up the academic ranks; etc.
