Ummm, I kinda figured... there are a few stories with "Sapphic Sex," in the Lesbian category. I've never heard of Lesbian sex being called that though... I just wondered if there was possibly more to it. Thanks anyway Harold.

There might be some secret meaning or distinction among lesbians, but I wouldn't know. (not being a part of that subculture and all.)

Sapphic Sex. Okay a little Greek mythology. Sappho was a Greek poetess, supposedly living around 600 B.C. (I don't know, I wasn't around then) She was famous for love lyrics and lived on the island of Lesbos. Lesbos being known for lesbians we can pretty much figure out what dear Sappho wrote about. And probably very eloquently. Anyway, that's it. Sapphic sex is lesbian sex, although there allegedly was a nasty rumor going around in 550 B.C. that she was really bisexual.

wild jay's history lesson is accurate. the word lesbian came from the fact that sappho was the most famous person from lesbos and she dug chicks, unlike many of the women of lesbos, i'm sure, so women who dig women are now called lesbians.
