A quick note to all of you Lit people who have yet to buy that special gift for the various women in your life. Whatever you buy make it a name brand product!!!

Don't fall into the same mistake I made a few years back and buy a few outfits for people that were made by some "lesser known" clothing manufactures.

Try to avoid "Oh I really love this but didn't they have any polo?"

Or even the beloved holiday favorite"You saved the receipt didn't you?"

To all my fellow hopeless buyers out there I offer you my respect and my advice to buy anything namebrand. It could be the worst piece of crap in the world, but as long as it is a namebrand piece of crap you still have a chance.

Merry Christmas everybody and happy shopping!!!

This is why they invented "Gift Certificates" :)

The only way you could screw that up is if you put less than 10$ on it.

I dunno, ID. Polo's sorta declassé these days. Donna Karan is timeless. As is Polo's even more pricey line marketed under the lable of Ralph Lauren...

But, if you're really going for classic and impressive, just head straight for the Chanel. You'll probably get head in exchange for Chanel. *nodsnods*

Miss..you're not following the logic in this thread. It's Godiva or Scharffenberger. Now, catch up. ;)

True. For polo I was talking about comforters, bedpreads and watches. I need more money!!

lol MissT! Hell, for eatin' I'm not picky about chocolate. Well, unless it has stuff in it, but that's another story.

IrishDragon? Very seriously, anyone who requires a gift that's outside of your means isn't worth the trouble.

Of course, pretty soon you find yourself looking over y our history of loves and calling them by their "gift" name.

Polo- Sally
Rollex-Jane
White Diamonds-Mildred
Hershey's-Ethel

Oops!

Truly, if the gift isn't accepted graciously and appreciatively, it is a no win situation.

I know but what can I do? I'm the youngest siblings, and now with nieces and nephews and godchildren I can suck it up! Is heat really that important in the winter anyway?

crap. I thought it was for a chick. Um..kids are different. You don't need the heat. Put on another pair of socks and it'll be spring soon enough.

Sorry. =(

Chicks I can handle (or at least I think I can), but christmas is for the kids so Time to suck it up and start sleeping in coats!
