San Fran and Swizzle Sticks

I am simply bubbling over today! I'm going to San Francisco this weekend, for the first time. Two glorious days. Absolutely perfect weather. A beautiful Victorian hotel, near Nob Hill, with a Napa Valley wine tasting in the evening and a full service breakfast in the morning. I cannot wait. (And for anyone that remembers my earlier thread, this is the first of my four weekend trips this summer.)

Did anyone know that there is an International Swizzle Stick Collectors Association? They will be hosting their annual convention in Las Vegas in mid-July. I am seriously contemplating going just to see what the fuss is all about.

OK, please feel free to add your own random thoughts to this thread. Anyone heading to a fun and fabulous vacation spot this summer?

Hopefully I'll catch you this time around, Lavender. Except, um, I might be going to Miami at some point next week. But only for the day, so I should be home by early evening.

And waffles are truly great! Perfect design - I love the individual syrup holders. Keeps the syrup from moating around the edge, and creating an unevenly soggy breakfast.
