San Diego, CA here I come.......

Okay you all pretty much know what has transpired the last week. And it's time for me to take a little time off. NOT from the board!
You know, get some fresh air under my wings.

So from monday evening, I'll be in San Diego, CA. All by myself, treating myself some quality time.

I've only heard really nice things about it, and everybody I know, who has been there, loves the place. So why not see it, was my thought.

But I'm thinking some of you guys know what is must-see over there.
So I'm open to suggestions.

What is REALLY great in San Diego, CA??

I think that Laurel will be able to give you some good ideas, but what I'd see if I went to SD is Sea World and the SD Zoo. After that?????? Have fun!!!!

There's a great little shopping center along the water, can't remember the name offhand but anyone in SanDiego will be able to point you in the right direction. Lots of little quirky stores to walk through (one completely themed for cats!)and a great restaurant where you can have dinner and watch the ocean. Very calming.

The weather is always beautiful, too. Take your swimsuit!

Great, aS if there isn't enough competition out here in California, already. Now the 'Fireman' is coming out, no doubt to practice his 'rescuing' techniques for the women.

Just remember Xander, I stole those track shoes of yours months ago, so your not going to be able move as fast with those big boots I left you with.

A gentle reminder that TJ (Tijuana) and its dens of deprivation and eniquity are a short drive to the south.
But you wouldn't wanna' go there .If you do go, I strongly suggest you buddy up with someone. There's safety in numbers.

If you are referring to the burro shows... no attraction.
But the whole atmosphere of the place is exciting. It has this whole outlaw, wild west, this is so bad, aura about it.

Plus the added adrenaline rush contributed by the possibility that you could be confronted by cops or crooks brandishing automatic weapons at any time.

I love San Diego, and have taken a few trips down there. Just hang around the shoreline and you'll find plenty to do. If you like theatre there is plenty in San Diego. Ask the locals about what's playing at the Old Globe or the La Jolla (pronounced La Hoya) Playhouse. Have fun.

I wish I could think of what you could see in SD..but the only thing I saw when I was there was the inside of a hotel room...

I am definately going to check out Sea World, and the San Diego Zoo. You know, both are world famours. And I'm guessing must-see places.

Also thanks Dixon, you've just confirmed what everybody has told me here. I'll definately check it out.

Expertise....Tijuana???? Are you trying to kill me? LOL.

But I will probaly find a nice little bar somewhere and hang for a while.

And there's one place I have to locate. A place I've wanted to visit since 1989.

The World Famours San Diego Skate Park.

I am a former geek with a board with wheels And that place I simply HAS to skate, no matter what! C'mon 1600 square miles of ramps fly-outs, pools. Now thats what I call a challenge.

P.S. Laurel, if you happen to drive by a geek with a board, trying to make a fool out of himself. Who just happens to look a little bit like me. Do me the favour to call 911 before I seriously injure myself LOL.
