Who leads? does one person always lead or do you take turns? If you take turns, how do you keep track? Does one preson lead on odd-numbered days and the other on even days?

Yes, these are the things I think about and no, I'm not drunk. I'm always like this.

In a lot of traditional cultures (for instance amongst Hasidic Jews or many Muslim nations) there is only same sex dancing. Of course, they dance somewhat differently than the general Western style in this case and I don't think anyone leads.

Other than that I'll I've really got for you is just decide amongst yourselves.

Ha! Yeah! My guy definitely has two left feet but I still let him lead!

Of course he thinks I'm the one, so we get along great on the DF! :)

Preferably, the taller partner should lead in ballroom dancing. (I assume you're talking ballroom) This is if both partners are proficient dancers. If that is not the case, the better dancer should lead.

Of course, that may lead to an ugly debate over who's the better dancer.

In that case, the proper way to handle the disagreement is arm wrestling or the orgasm refusal game. This depends on how intimate a relationship it is.

Um...couldn't you just flip a coin?

I like the height idea. That seems simple enough.

And yes, I meant ballroom (slow) dancing. Breakdancing is an entirely different can of worms.

I'm going to side with Stuponfucious and go with coin flipping. :)

Planning on attending a ball with a certain male companion?

I have always been the shorter person and always led.

I am not sure why that is. There was really no discussion and it just seemed that I was the one to lead. However I do tend to be the more dominant person in the relationship so maybe that is the unspoken agreement?

Sorry not much help.

Unless you're really butch and just want to show off.

I get it... you know you'd lose. ;)

Okay, sex games it is then.

I'm surprisingly strong for my tiny frame and arms of a prison camp internee thank you very much. :)

Sex games are a little more interesting, that's for sure.

Do the sex games or arm wrestling happen on the dance floor?

No, the former'll get you arrested and the later would be hard (you need a good flat surface to arm wrestle). Not to mention pretty ridiculous looking.

BTW, what is the orgasm refusal game? I can guess, but I'd like confirmation.

Nope.

This is all very true.

But the latter could be construed as a new dance and the former well....

Jail would not be good :(

Nope.

Just for future reference and all?

I like to keep bizarre little factoids in mind myself.

Not even the kind of dance that is likely to catch on either.

No, jail is many things, but I don't know of any one calling it good. At least not from the perspective of the jailed anyhow.

I'm a traditionalist. The butch leads. If I'm with another femme, I lead.

Well i have never danced with somebody of same sex however......

Within the last year I have developed a very strong interest in cross dressing and love to wear lots of sexy pretty lingerie.

This has let my mind open in various ways and the thought of slow dancing with another 'dressed girl' while our panties rubbed against eachother certainly appeals!

it's probably because neither of us is exactly great traditional dancers but we sort of took it in turns who was leading or just danced without anyone leading

we were taking turns on the same night though and sometimes during the same dance ... like i said we're not great dancers and it probably looked like a mess to any onlooker :)

but it was nice

its surprisingly hard to have a fair arm wrestling contest someone always seems to cheat (not me  )

I'm not really sure how arm wrestling is any better. Unless you're really butch and just want to show off.

it's not about being butch exactly or wanting to show off ... it's just about winning :)

Hmm.

I don't have much experience of slow dancing (largely because the boyfriend's crap at it.) Just normal, non-touching but highly suggestive dancing is generally dominated by him though. He has more energy.

Of course, our preferred method of dancing, demented moshing, doesn't have anyone to lead. Which is good.

Have a nice day!
