how do you open one when you misplace your opener?

I don't know. I keep an opener on my key ring. It's great in case of emergency.

Pop it under a countertop. Just make sure no one with a vested interest in the woodwork is watching.

how do you open one when you misplace your opener?

1: Find a sharp edged counter, railing or other horizontal edge. (Preferably metal)

2: Place the bottle against the edge so that the edge fits snuggly under the cap. Hold the bottle approximately 30 degrees from vertical.

3: Pull down slightly on the bottle to hold it in postion.

4: With your free hand, sharply slap the counter/railing/bar so that the bottle cap is centerd in your palm.

5: Catch foaming beer spewing from bottle in your mouth.

6: Drink beer.

(PS with a little practice, you can do this without chipping the bottle or causing the beer fountain.)

I recommend Harold's method. I've used it for years.

yeah I also use Weird Harold's method.. my nordic track has a sharp steel edge.. if you rotate it a few times it comes off with no spewing

Go to your drunken neighbor's house and ask for help. If you take him one, he'll gladly open as many as you'd like.

hold the bottle neck real close to the cap so the cap is half into your finger and thumb, place a cigarete lighter as a pry under the cap at the second joint of the fiugner tight grip on both the bottle and cap, now with your free hand grab the ligheter close to the hand holdign it and the bottle and with a clean smoth mtion pushinghard againt the bottle use as a lever. and drink away no chipped bottle, no beer fountain
